- Worm infections
Worm infections occur when parasitic worms live and grow inside your body. Praziquantel is used in the treatment of worm infections such as: Schistosomiasis: It is an infection caused by a type of worm (Schistosoma) that moves through your blood and infects the intestine or urinary tract. The symptoms include diarrhoea, bloody stool, fever, chills, cough, and stomach pain. Liver fluke: It is caused by a type of worm that infects the liver and bile duct. The common symptoms are headache, nausea, vomiting, fever, and loss of appetite.
