Ulcerative proctitis and proctosigmoiditis
This medicine is used for the treatment of ulcerative proctitis (a mild form of ulcerative colitis, involving only the rectum), and proctosigmoiditis (a mild form of ulcerative colitis, involving the rectum and sigmoid colon) characterized by rectal bleeding, bloody diarrhea, redness, and ulcerations of the lining of the rectum.
