Uses of Moxicip 400 MG Tablet

What is it prescribed for?

  • Community-Acquired Pneumonia

Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia (lung infection) that is acquired outside the hospital. CAP can be bacterial or viral. Moxicip 400 MG Tablet is used to treat CAP caused by bacteria like Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, etc.

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

Skin and soft tissue infection is bacterial infection affecting the skin and its supporting structures. Moxicip 400 MG Tablet is used to treat skin and soft tissue infections caused by bacteria.

  • Stomach and intestinal infections

Moxicip 400 MG Tablet is used to treat infections in your stomach and intestine caused by bacteria.

  • Bronchitis

Bronchitis is the swelling of the bronchial tubes, the tube which carries the air to and from the lungs. Common symptoms include cough and shortness of breath. Moxicip 400 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of bronchitis caused by bacteria.

  • Plague

Plague is a serious bacterial infection caused by Yersinia pestis. It spreads through the bite of infected fleas (wingless insects), through direct contact or by inhalation. In severe form, it may lead to septicaemic plague (blood infection that spreads throughout the body) and/or pneumonic plague (infecting the lungs).   • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease is the infection of the reproductive organs in women. Symptoms may include fever, pain in the lower abdomen, vaginal discharge, painful/frequent urination, etc. Moxicip 400 MG Tablet is used in combination with other antibiotics for the treatment of mild to moderate pelvic inflammatory disease.
