Use

• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections

This medicine is used in the treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by E. coli, Proteus mirabilis, etc.

• Upper Respiratory Tract Infection

This medicine is used in the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections caused by bacteria where the causative organism is known or suspected to be resistant to other commonly used antibiotics.

• Tonsilitis/Pharyngitis

This medicine is used in the treatment of tonsillitis and pharyngitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, etc.

• Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis

This medicine is used in the treatment of an acute worsening of chronic bronchitis, an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubules, caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.

• Gonococcal infection

This medicine is used in the treatment of Gonococcal infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

• Otitis media

This medicine is used in the treatment of a middle ear infection (otitis media) caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pyogenes, etc.
