What is it prescribed for?
- Bacterial infections
Doxy-1 L-DR Forte Capsule is used to treat bacterial infections such as: 1. Cholera:- It is a bacterial infection that causes severe diarrhoea and dehydration. 2. Pneumonia:- It is an infection of your lungs caused by bacteria. The symptoms include difficulty in breathing, chest tightness, wet cough, fever, etc. 3. Urinary tract infection:- It is an infection in any part of your urinary system (kidneys, ureter, urethra, urinary bladder) caused by bacteria. The symptoms include a burning sensation while urinating, increased frequency of urination, dark-coloured urine, etc. 4. Rickettsial diseases:- It is a group of infections caused by a bacteria, rickettsia. The symptoms include fever, chills, severe headache, muscle pain, etc. 5. Anthrax:- It is a serious bacterial infection caused by Bacillus anthracis. It may affect your skin, lungs, and intestine. 6. Sexually transmitted diseases:- It is a group of infections caused by bacteria that spreads through sexual contact. 7. Plague:- It is a serious bacterial infection caused by the bacteria Yersinia pestis. It is spread through the bite of infected fleas (wingless insects), through direct contact with an infected person, or by inhalation. In severe form, it may lead to septicaemic plague (blood infection that spreads throughout the body) and/or pneumonic plague (lung infection). 8. Eye infections:- Trachoma is a bacterial infection that affects your eyes and may lead to blindness. Conjunctivitis is the infection or swelling of the conjunctiva, the white part of the eye, and the inner eyelids.
