Clomic-S3% Lotion

Uses of Clomic-S3% Lotion

What is it prescribed for?

  • Psoriasis

Psoriasis is

a chronic (long-term) autoimmune condition (your immune system malfunctions and attacks healthy cells of your body) that causes your cells to multiply faster than normal. This causes a buildup of skin cells, resulting in scaling on your skin’s surface. The most characteristic symptom is the presence of a skin rash with red, itchy, scaly patches (usually on your knees, elbows, and scalp). Clomic-S3% Lotion is used in the treatment of psoriasis.

  • Eczema

Eczema, which is also called atopic dermatitis, is a condition that causes your skin to become dry, red, and itchy (usually on your arms and behind the knees). It is common in children, usually develops in early childhood, and is more common in people who have a family history of this condition. Clomic-S3% Lotion is used in the treatment of eczema.

Description

Clomic-S3% Lotion is a combination of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. This medicine is used to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis (a condition where the skin cells build up, resulting in dry patches) and eczema (dry, red, itchy, and bumpy skin that causes skin irritation). Clomic-S3% Lotion contains Clobetasol which prevents the formation of certain chemical substances in your body that are responsible for redness, swelling, and itching. This medication causes itching and peeling of the outer layer of the skin, thus allowing Clobetasol to penetrate effectively. Clomic-S3% Lotion may cause burning, itching, irritation, and dryness of your skin. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Clomic-S3% Lotion should be applied externally to the affected part of your skin as directed by your doctor. Continue using this medicine for the prescribed duration to avoid a flare-up of your symptoms. Clomic-S3% Lotion should be avoided if you are allergic to it. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or are planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor before using this medication.
