Use

• Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolsim

This medicine is used for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in patients who have been treated with a parenteral anticoagulant for 5 to 10 days. It is also used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) following a hip replacement surgery and to prevent a recurrence of DVT and PE.

• Prevention of Thromboembolism in Atrial Fibrillation

This medicine is used to prevent the obstruction of blood vessels by clot formation in patients suffering from atrial fibrillation.
